About
We set up our studio in Heckington in July 2018, teaching the yoga I love, in both flowing and meditative styles. I have Yoga Alliance Yoga Teacher Training certificates in Hatha, Yin, Restorative and Yoga Nidra. More recently I have been exploring the benefits of Chair Yoga and offering this out to groups and workplaces.
I was delighted to be crowned winner of the Health and Wellbeing award at the Lincolnshire Sport and Physical Activity Awards ceremony November 2022.
I am also a qualified Meditation for Beginners Teacher and Meditation Coach enabling me to offer Leadership Coaching (Life Coaching) and Healing as well as all things Meditation. I am a Mentor for new trainees on the SuraFlow Liberate programme. Graham is a qualified running coach and leads the Run Yoga mornings.
We have a cosy fire in winter and the French doors open in summer (sometimes there is yoga on the lawn). I offer classes to help you move, breathe, unwind and find some peace and time out from this hectic world, hopefully leaving you stretched, relaxed and more connected with yourself and others.
I like to interweave a thought for the day and may ask you to set an intention or Sankalpa for your practice. You might also experience some yoga philosophy or poetry - something to think about and take into our lives off the yoga mat. I like to honour the tradition of yoga and incorporate plenty of Sanskrit (plus English translations!) into our classes.
We always start by grounding and calming ourselves. I will invite you to listen to your own unique body and encourage you to see every class as YOUR practice, adapting poses to better suit you or to rest, particularly if you are carrying an injury or tightness in a part of the body. There is absolutely no judgement or competition, but rather a supportive, calm and caring vibe.
A typical class might comprise floorwork, standing postures, balancing and breathing exercises. Every class ends with savasana (relaxation) and maybe a Sanskrit chant. If you have time afterwards, I'd love you to stay on for a coffee or glass of wine and a chat in our sitting room or garden
Private sessions are perfect for all levels: maybe you are a beginner, would like help establishing a home practice, or want to proceed at your own pace and discover new inspiration. We can work together on customising movement, relaxation, breath, meditation - your choice
I would not hesitate to recommend Ann’s Yoga Lounge. As a complete yoga novice Ann put me at ease with her calm approach. The group sizes are small and friendly."

Everything is great. From the warm welcome when you arrive, the lovely relaxing yoga session and then the cuppa and treat at the end."
